When we come to Jesus, we step into a new identity that is rooted not in our past, but in Him.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
If anyone is in Christ, they are made new. No matter your past, Jesus can change your future. No one is beyond reach - and no one is turned away. Grace is not reserved for those who have it all together; it is freely given to all who come.
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
— Galatians 3:28 (NKJV)
The world will try to divide us; by gender, race, politics, opinions, or identity. We are told who we are and where we belong, often in ways that create distance and division.
But in Christ, those walls come down.
We are united not by what we look like or where we come from, but by who we belong to. Our worth is not measured by comparison or performance, but by the love of God freely given to us through Jesus.
Your past doesn’t disqualify you
So many believe that their past mistakes, failures, or brokenness put them beyond God’s reach. Guilt and shame have a way of convincing us that we are unworthy of grace or that we need to fix ourselves before we can come to Him.
But the gospel tells a different story.
When you come to Jesus, everything that once defined you, loses its power.
He makes you completely new. In Christ, the old is gone for good and a brand-new life begins. Those things no longer get the final word. In Christ, the old is gone for good, and a brand-new life begins.
You are not asked to clean yourself up before coming to Him. You are invited to come as you are and be changed by His love.
You don’t have to fix yourself first.
You just have to come.
